This video contains footage of the California fire (Witch Creek Fire) shot from my neighborhood in Poway, CA the evening of Oct 22 until the next night Oct 23. The shots of the fire are in the High Valley and surrounding areas, some of the hardest hit areas. The winds (as you'll hear and see in the video) were incredible. We had no electricity (as did numerous other households) for two days. We had to hook up an antique phone to make calls, which to our surprise,worked! We also had very poor radio reception (due to a mountaintop radio tower being blown over) and were finally able to get a decent signal using tin foil on our radio antenna. There is footage of displaced residents and rescued animals. One shot in particular is an evacuated chicken in a car's back window. Horses were transported and living at Walmart and Home Depot parking lots. There is also footage of the Boys and Girls Club and Poway Community Center shelters in Poway.
