Animated film part 1. Classic Game Room brings you WIND SQUID the video game movie! Wind Squid is a squid that is powered by beer and flies through space. He is good and fights evil. Wind Squid is a vertical scrolling SHMUP shoot 'em up video game, like Fire Shark, Ikaruga, Raiden III, Vanguard, Thunder Force 2, River Raid or Radiant Silvergun. Wind Squid is not on the Playstation 3 PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, PSP, Gameboy, NES, Colecovision, N64, Sega Master System, Sega Saturn, XBLA Live Arcade, Intellivision, Commodore 64, Amiga, Vectrex, PC, Atari 7800, 5200 or Atari 2600... although IT SHOULD BE. Hopefully be brought to reality as one of the best SHMUPS of all time. This maniac shooter features exciting weapons and power ups. Wind Squid is an animated short theatrical style film, like anime, except that it looks like a video game with a squid that shoots fish from beer cans. Made on Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and Photoshop.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GUITAR HERO III for the Xbox 360 video game console. This game is also available for the Playstation 3 PS3 and Wii. It should be available for the Sega Genesis. CGRHD admits that we suck at Guitar Hero. 10 year olds would crush us in a duel without breaking a sweat. But CGRHD would crush a 10 year old into tears at Ms. Pac Man, so take that!!! This game is loads of fun and makes a great party game or high scoring arcade type of game. You play as a guitar HERO (hence the title) and rock out to music from popular bands like White Zombie, The Killers, Slipknot, Poison, Rage Against the Machine, The Scorpions and Weezer just to name a few. You play the game with a fun guitar controller, we used a wireless one for the Xbox. This game is playable on Xbox Live XBLA with a friend and also has gamer points and achievements.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of RIVER RAID for the Atari 2600 VCS Video Computer System by Activision. This vertical scrolling shoot em up, or SHMUP, is a great example of the 2D action fighter plane genre like 1942 or 1943. We love Shmups here at Classic Game Room, and this classic old school retro arcade video game is one of the best. Pilot your jet up the river and destroy bad guys with your arsenal of missiles. If you like Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun and Raiden III you will love River Raid. This game should be remade for the PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 Live XBLA sometime soon because it is so much fun and a great shooter with great controls and action. It's a maniac shooter, it's RIVER RAID!

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of TIMESPLITTERS: FUTURE PERFECT for Playstation 2 PS2 video game system. Time Splitters is an amazing series of first person shooters FPS by Free Radical. TS Future Perfect is third in the series and possibly the best. You play as Cortez sent from the future to the past, then present, and future, back to the past, and future, and you get the idea. It's an awesome game for shooting game fans who want a fun story and great action. Originally Timesplitters had an amazing online function but it was cancelled and discontinued a few months ago and is no longer hosted on the servers (which SUCKS). CGRHD is eagery awaiting a new Timesplitters on the Playstation 3 PS3 or Xbox 360. We demand Timesplitters 4!! MAKE IT FASTER. I think Free Radical is making that game HAZE and we're getting that as soon as possible

CGRHD is eagery awaiting a new Timesplitters on the Playstation 3 PS3 or Xbox 360. We demand Timesplitters 4!! MAKE IT FASTER. I think Free Radical is making that game HAZE and we're getting that as soon as possible</media:text>

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of CHAMPIONSHIP SOCCER for the Atari 2600 video game system. Soccer is called football in many other parts of the world except here in America. We call it soccer. Soccer is a sport played with a ball and some goals. It is played on a soccer field. This is a video game that replicates that excitement. It's like the ice hockey of the lawn. Soccer. Enjoy a tall cool glass of soccer. David Beckham is not in this game. Neither is Pele. Neither is Joe Montanna. But if they were, it would still be called Championship Soccer. Why? Because it isn't Championship Tennis. Enjoy it because CGRHD doesn't review many sports titles because we're sports inept. If watching science fiction and Star Wars was a sport we'd be the Serena Williams of the Star Trek fan club.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of SURROUND for the Atari 2600 video game system. If you liked the Light Cycles from the movie Tron then you'll LOVE this game. Surround also comes with video grafitti so that you can text the people sitting on the same couch as you on a B&W television. Surruond is dope! This is a fun classic video game, a true retro arcade old school vintage coin op-style fun game from back in the day in the 1970's and 80's. If you like wood grained Atari action then you'll dig Tron... I mean Surround.

Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. CGRHD is reviewing video game from the past 30 years, from 1978 to the present including Playstation 3 PS3, Sega Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System NES, Atari 2600, 7800, N64, Dreamcast and Xbox 360. XBLA

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of LASER BLAST for the Atari 2600 VCS video game system. Produced by ACTIVISION with a copyright of 1981, Laser Blast is an old school retro arcade style classic video game for the Atari VCS. You command a flying saucer like UFO whose job is to fire lasers at three moving targets on the ground also equipped with lasers. If you like laser beams then this is the game for you because all the combatants use lasers. This isn't one of the best of the early Activision titles like Pitfall or River Raid, but it's a good time for a brief time. I wouldn't expect to see this on Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 or Wii any time soon.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of HANGMAN for the Atari 2600 video game system. Do you remember hangman? If not then do you know what Wheel of Fortune is? Basically the same thing without a wheel, money and big, big prizes (and that cool bankruptcy thing). This is a fun word game that incorporates violence at the gallows if a misspelling takes place. Hangman is a fun Atari game, and a true arcade classic retro gaming style for old school video gamers who like game from the 70's and 80's.

<media:text type="plain">Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999.

Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. CGRHD is reviewing video game from the past 30 years, from 1978 to the present including Playstation 3 PS3, Sega Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System NES, Atari 2600, 7800, N64, Dreamcast and Xbox 360</media:text>

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of MISSILE COMMAND for the Atari 2600 VCS video game system. Do you remember The Day After and Wargames? Do remember global thermonuclear war? Hell yeah! Bring back the cold war and with it, MISSILE COMMAND!!! This old school video game arcade classic was around back in the early 1980's in the arcades with an amazing track ball! This game doesn't have the track ball on the Atari 2600 video computer system, but the controls still work very well. Shoot down ICBM after ICBM and save your American cities from total radioactive nuclear annihilation. What could be more fun for children than playing a game about nukes and nuclear war? Missile command is a classic game cartridge from back in the day and is a lot of fun. You can also play this game 2 player. This game should come out for Xbox Live Arcade XBLA or Playstation 3 PS3.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of TIMESPLITTERS: FUTURE PERFECT for the Playstation 2 PS2 video game system. Time Splitters is an amazing series of first person shooters FPS designed by Free Radical. TS Future Perfect is the third in the series and possibly the best.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of ROBOTRON 2084 for the Playstation 1 video game system from the Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits PSX game. Robotron 2084 is one of the best old school classic video games ever created. You are a loner armed with a laser gun facing wave after wave of Robotrons hell bent on wiping out mankind. What will the year 2085 be like, how about 2086? This game asks a lot of questions and leaves few answers. But it does leave a wake of human carnage in its path. This is a hard shooter, sort of like Smash TV. Do they have a version of this game on PS3 or Wii? On Xbox Live you can get achievements and gamerpoints. This version on the PS1 is cool because it has interviews with the video game designers on the creation of the game, behind the scenes information and tricks and more bonus features.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of ROBOTRON 2084 for the Atari 7800 Prosystem. This is a hard shooter, sort of like Smash TV (hmmmm.... any similarities, maybe the same awesome designer??) CGRHD also reviews Robotron 2084 for Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation 1 game console in the Williams Greatest Hits collection and also Robotron 64 for the N64. Do they have a version of this game on PS3 or Wii? On Xbox Live you can get achievements and gamerpoints.

This is the sequel to the popular coin-op style retro gaming classic, PITFALL! released in 1982. Pitfall2 Lost Caverns was also released on the Atari 5200 and other gaming consoles.

Pitfall Harry returns as he descends into caverns filled with bats, frogs and other various monsters. Old scool arcade coin-op retro 80's 1980's action.

The game seems like a nod to Harrison Ford in Steven Spielberg's Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc. Maybe it even inspired Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade??

Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. Xbox Live Arcade XBLA.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of OUTLAW for the Atari 2600. Do you know your enemy? This amazing shooting game for the VCS allows you to play as a cowboy, sheriff or outlaw blasting your pistol against an emeny of unspeakable evil. It's like a first or third person shooter except more intense. You fight on city streets crowded with wagons and in the Wild West around a cactus. This Spaghetti Western of a video game is like Outlaw Josey Wales meets Halo 3. You gotta play Outlaw because it's an amazing 1970's arcade retro old school vintage collectible cartridge that set the stage for competitive online shooting games today. Maybe they will release Outlaw on the Playstation 3 PS3 or Xbox 360 or Wii or Neo Geo or Turbografx-16. High Noon, OUTLAW!

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of PHOENIX for the Atari 2600 video game system. CGRHD is a show about classic video games from the past 30 years.

Classic Game Room HD tackles the relatively obscure hit PHOENIX for the Atari 2600. Obscure in that it hasn't made a comeback on Xbox Live Arcade for the 360 (XBLA), the PS3 or Wii. At first glance this game looks AWESOME because of it's great cover art! But does the gameplay live up to the hype? Check it out in Classic Game Room HD. Phoenix is an awesome old school retro classic video game arcade stand up that gamers will love for gaming and collecting.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of SPACE WAR for the Atari 2600. SPACE WAR is an old school game, so old school this was made before you were. Back in the late 70's the country was rockin' out to disco and Star Wars, and this game was inspired by both. More Star Wars though, which came out in 1977 and launched actors like Chewbacca and Darth Vader to world wide fame. This game was release in 1978.

This is old-school, retro, vintage, arcade gaming at its finest. Two player action, you pilot space ships (the same ones from Asteroids I think) and shoot at each other. It's basically Combat in space, or Battlestar Galactica (the old series) mixed with the A-Team.

Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The HD series is reviewing PS3, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. Spacewar.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of STARGATE for the Atari 2600!! This game is actually Defender 2 and was released in 1981 in the arcade as a sequel to 1980's coin-op hit, Defender 1. Created by genius game designer Eugene Jarvis, this game was originally brought to the Atari 2600 as Stargate and then later changed to Defender II for possible legal reasons. Like the original Defender, this is a classic SHMUP style horizontally scrolling game where you play a space ship whose mission is to save all the humans and destroy all the aliens. This is a unique game that uses two Atari controllers, has invisible and bombs and the Stargate itself.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of the arcade smash hit SPY HUNTER, now made into a commercial by GM and Pontiac that we call the "Pontiac Spy Hunter Commercial" paying tribute to the Mach 5 style of the Spy Hunter-mobile. Spy Hunter is retro video gaming at its finest, but does the Atari version live up to the coin-op machine in the arcades? You drive a James Bond kind of a car with machine guns and oil slick and blow up enemy bad guys on the road and on the seas... or rivers. Sort of like the scene in Live in Let Die where Roger Moore drives a speedboat through the everglades or something... Maybe the new James Bond movie will be called Spyhunter and he'll drive the Mach 5 and the next Bond girl will be Trixie from Speed Racer.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GALAXIAN for the Atari 2600. Not to be confused with Galaga, this is a different game. Similar in style to Space Invaders or Demon Attack, Galaxian is a fun 1980's arcade retro classic that is fun to pick up and play. Shoot the aliens before they shoot you, it's that simple. The early 80's style of Galaxian makes it a popular game today, it is easy to collect for your Atari VCS 2600 game collection and has a bright, colorful design on the packaging. Everyone like Galaxian. You should name your dog Galaxian.

Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of IKARUGA for Xbox Live Arcade XBLA, released in April, 2008. Originally released by Sega in the arcade, it later made it to the Japanese Dreamcast (JPN) and then to the Nintendo GameCube here in the United States. Treasure made Ikaruga for the Xbox 360 online service and made it well with achievements, gamer points and high definition graphics. The genre of this game is a SHMUP, but it Shmups like you've never seen it before. This awesome Vertical scrolling shooter, Manic shooter, Shoot 'em up shooting space ship game is based on a unique polarity system. Is there a chance that we'll be seeing RADIANT SILVERGUN on Xbox Live any time soon? Let's hope so! Treasure was formed by former Konami employees an they have produced games like Wario World, Gunstar Heroes, Bangai-O and Mischief Makers.
