On my second day in Paris I took a long walk to visit all the sightseeing musts like the Louvre, the Seine, Notre Dame etc. On my way to the Louvre I came accross this beautiful piece of architecture. It's an ancient shopping mall and dates around 100 years ago. Now you find little book shops, antique dealers and restaurants there.

This is a video about the famous "Barrage de la Rance". It's not just a damm which connects Dinard and Saint Malo across the river Rance, it is the only electric power plant that works by the force of the tides and was constructed in the 1960ies. It still works today and covers around 4% of the need of the region (a city of 300.000 inhabitants).
