Many people of all physical abilities and ages were filmed on the streets of Gateshead making the words of a poem with their bodies. The project was supported by Gateshead council arts team as part of the 'Angel of the North' 10th birthday celebrations. The poem is by Kevin Cadwallender working with local over 50s groups. This is my go at doing this, I'd be really interested to see any examples of similar ways of making words or people who have done the same thing but maybe developed it more as I am intrested in this kind of thing. The poem was by Kevin Cadwallender and the work was commsioned to celebrate the 10th birthday of the Angel of the North...Thanks, hope you like.

How to get people with no musical expereince to be part of a piece. Many people were filmed indidivudally over the course of a day, playing single notes on various insturmnts. This using superimpostitions was editied into the music you hear, so at no time did these peole meet int he space and no person plays more than one note in a row.
