Here is Koji body surfing at the beach just outside of the National Park. You can tell it is not inside the park by the umbrellas and chairs, you can rent 2 loungers and umbrella for $12 a day, but only outside the park. They have a little hidden compartment where you can stash stuff, but I'm sure everyone knows about them anyway.

Your stuff is bound to get wet if you leave it on the sand because its so saturated & if you are a fairly good swimmer you won't have a problem with the current. The beach all the way inside the park can get crowded and you are most likely to get monkeys going through your stuff at that one.

Here we are hiking through the jungle and came across a family of about 15 monkeys. Manuel Antonio is famous for it's monkey sightings. They know a grocery bag when they see one, so best put your food in your pack. If you plan to swim on the beach, tie your pack to a tree or hide it under your towel...they WILL steal it, empty all contents from the top of tree and throw them if they are not food. i.e. that new camera you bought for the trip.
