I recently built a new mail server for my network and it was a long, boring process. So how better to pass the time? Make a video about the process. I don't talk about how I put it together; that would take a long time to explain. I built this server using FreeBSD, IMAP-UW, Apache web server, squirrelmail, SpamAssassin and a few other smaller daemons. Considering my limited resources, it runs pretty well.

I've been working on my wife's website and in the process her content management system (CMS) crashed. Trying to troubleshoot the problem, I deleted all the preferences to my website's CMS located elsewhere on the webserver. Stupid move made in a haste. But its all good.

I'm sick and tired of people complaining about weather. During the winter, "Oh, its so cold" then when summer comes a long "Man, its hotter than hell." Or even worse....We're having a very mild summer in these parts, but that doesn't keep people from complaining. It's in the lower to mid 90s. Last year we've experienced 100+ for over a month. So, be grateful.

I know, I've been posting a lot of videos about the weather we've been having lately. It's been a very wet week here in SW Oklahoma. This video is somewhat like the flooding video, but the difference is, I didn't wait for the waters to go down before heading home. I traveled down Gore Blvd back to my home. The rainwater building up in the street from poor drainage is a huge problem our local government needs to address. I'm trying to think of a way to bring this problem to their attention.

There has been a yellow jacket nest on the bottom side of a wooden stairs at work. It's been there for several weeks and everyone who went by there was afraid of this thing. So, I took it on myself to get rid of it in my style......the way where I can make a video.

This was taken on the roof of my office building in Lawton, Oklahoma. I see this storm, and the others storms we had over the weekend in this area as a beginning of a rough summer. We had a perfect view of this storm to see the formation of the wall cloud, and rotation in various places within the storm. There were no tornadoes viewed...at least tornadoes that touched ground, but there was plenty of activity within the clouds and a small light show. I edited this video to around 4 minutes, from 10 minutes of stuff.

There are times where I'm able to finish my work with a few hours remaining in the day. I'm there all alone, for the most part, during that time and it can be boring. So, I got this RC car. It was cheap. It's under powered, and it runs off of AA batteries that are too drained down for my digital camera. I named my car Herbert. Who's too old to play with RC cars? And coloring with crayons is quite relaxing. There was more video but I wanted to restrict the video to my little corner out of respect of my employer.

There is a run off stream in front of my house. But when it rains hard as it did today, it fills up and sometimes brakes the bank and flow up on the roads making driving next to impossible. One day, the water got so high, the roads were closed on the east and west side.

Every spring in these parts, bugs of all kinds wake up and try to find food, or a nice wet place to stay. Or, somewhere with central AC. The bug problem in my home isn't an issue, but this happens from time to time. I found this video while "cleaning house", and since I removed a couple vids, I'd figure might as well.

I used a program called Synergy. It works well with both MacOSX and Windows. I got bored and remembered seeing this on TechTV when it was still TechTV. Took one google search and a simple setup and all set up.

I had to move out of my corner office with a nice big window into a windowless cubical. As any responsible adult, I did what I could to make the best of it. If nothing else, it gives me more room to play. This is a re-release. I placed a small leading graphic to place ownership. I learned it's possible to rip videos from youtube. It's no big deal, I just want to put a sign of where it came from.
