Scientist, Robert Neville (Will Smith) is incredibly brilliant but he could not contain the terrible manmade virus. Somehow Neville is imune to the virus and the last human survivor in New York City, possibly the world. But he's not alone. He is in the midst of mutated infected victims who can only exist in darkness and who eat or infect anyone or anything that crosses their path.
