High on the side of a mountain over looking the Valley of Lhasa, Tibet, I met 2 young men. Like me they had hiked up for hours to reach this beautiful vantage point. The purpose of their journey was to offer prayers to god, the prayers were written in Tibetan script on colourful squares of tiny paper and included a caricature of Buddha. They rejoiced in the simple act of releasing the prayers into the wind. A touching moment and a treasured memory of my time in Tibet.

While Hiking the Annapurna Circuit in the Nepal Himalaya, I decided to take the road less traveled to reach Lake Tilicho (a rarely used and very difficult path rising to 5000m, instead of the normal river side route used by Sherpas). The views were incredible and I was in high spirits until I heard a sounds behind me, a little rockslide built into a roar and quickly became a full on landslide, wiping out my way back. I was alone and had no choice but to press on, praying all the while it didn't happen again!

After a 30 mins trek to the top of the biggest sand dune we had ever seen, we figured the coolest/funnest way to get down was to run. 2 of the girls are already down the bottom if you look really carefully.
