The Spirit Of Progress train service first started in 1937. It used to be hauled by a steam locomotive in its day, but these were scrapped years ago. The Spirit Of Progress train is hauled by an B and S class locomotives here seen today(if i am wrong please reply thanks) these were from the 50's repainted in the original Vic rail colours from the day.
